“Give light and people will find the way” Ella Baker

Ella Baker leads a conference at Shawn University in Raleigh, North Carolina that results in the creation of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee.

Ella Josephine Baker was a black civil rights and human rights activist born in Virginia, who grew up in North Carolina and graduated from college there, and worked for most of her life-based in New York City.
