“The more things you do, the more you can do..” Lucille Ball

Lucille Désirée Ball American Actress, Comedienne, Model, Studio Executive and Producer was born.

She was the first woman to head a major Hollywood studio, Desilu, which produced — among its many shows — Star Trek, Our Miss Brooks, Mission Impossible, The Untouchables, The Andy Griffith Show, My Favorite Martian, The Dick Van Dyke Show, and Make Room for Daddy.

She was the star and producer of sitcoms I Love Lucy, The Lucy Show, Here’s Lucy, and Life with Lucy, as well as comedy television specials aired under the title The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour.
